@Theresa
It's good to hear that you've been cancer free for 10 years. I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well at this point. Mainstream doctors would most likely deny any connection between yeast overgrowth and cancer. The oncology industry is worth billions--if a simple cause and cure is found a lot of people are going to be out of jobs and billions lost.

The Budwig protocol is quite interesting and has proven successful for many. There's a Yahoo group of cancer patients who are treating their cancer naturally. Take a look--it's a friendly group and very helpful.

I've been researching my symptoms, which are many and varied, and found a website that discusses the effects of systemic yeast infections and a comprehensive meal plan to help you start on the road to recovery: http://yeastconnection.com/pdf/GroceryList.pdf

There's also a lot of forums with people talking about over the counter remedies but I'm not sure what to believe. Here's a link to a couple's website citing such remedies including one that supposedly eliminated 100% of their symptoms: http://www.candidafree.net/?gclid=CJa2zM-3yKACFRkBiQodDTaRaw

Is this possible? Is it possible that my uterine cancer and subsequent oopherectomy in 2000 was caused by systemic yeast infection? I'm not back to feeling the exact same way I did when I had cancer and I fear I have cancer again but traditional medicine would balk at this (and has).

Any more insight would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I have known about the cancer candida connection for decades. I myself had atumor removed from my body and before it was removed I interviewed it with radio-freq scanner and to my surprise candida and penecillin came up as associated freq's. This started me thinking about the connection of cancer candida in my patients. Eventually I wrote a book about my techniques for getting rid of cancer candida called the Hidden Cure and the 5 laws of Perfect Health ( diet, hoemopathics, anti-fungals, a pulsed EMF therapy). This might be really helpful to you, your clients and practice. If you like it sign a review on Amazon for me and that would be most welcome.

@ Tom Herman
Thanks for your thoughtful comment. This article is not to suggest that we should avoid healthy acids or that we should try to attain an imbalance of alkalinity to acid. According to my research, due to the Standard American Diet (SAD) that the majority of us consume and our intake of unhealthy acidic processed foods with preservatives and additives, it's rare that our acid/alkaline ph is out of balance to the alkaline side--most likely we're much more acidic than alkaline. As you know, increases and extremes in acidity over prolonged periods or years can very likely lead to various serious conditions, not the least of which are candida/fungus overgrowths and yeast infections which may eventually lead to cancer if left unaddressed.

I completely agree that we should seek a good ph balance of acids to alkalines through a healthy natural diet consisting of fruits, veggies, seeds/nuts, etc., as well as appropriate supplementation, if necessary.

Thanks for your valuable input!

The yeast cancer connection has been apparent to me for years. In my practice, I use manual muscle testing to test for yeast infections in men as well as women. In nearly every case when a new patient reports they have cancer, they test positive for yeast infection in the part of the body where the cancer is located. It has always seemed very probable that yeast is a causative agent for cancer, either directly or indirectly.

I do have one very serious disagreement with this article, however. Overwhelmingly, in my experience, the most important predisposing factor to yeast infection is a lack of hydrochloric acid (HCl) production. Antacids are not indicated. If anything, HCl supplements should be given to increase acidity. However, it is possible to restore proper HCl production and this is the best possible preventive measure. It is true that diet--especially carbohydrates and dairy--will also predispose to yeast (as will antibiotics), and their elimination is important when treating the infection, but with a proper HCl level in the gut these are usually not enough to allow the infection to take hold in the first place. In only two cases have I found another predisposing factor strong enough to allow yeast growth in a HCl-producing patient. In each case the patient was taking hormones, one for birth control, the other for menopausal symptoms. (It is possible that the link between homone treatments and cancer could be yeast.) The treatment for yeast must consist of two parts: Elimination of the infection through safe nutritional supplementation, and normalization of the stomach pH to prevent reinfection.
